It is a moral play all right. The message seems to be "Sex is bad for you, and you'll end up going mad and killing the one you love and committing suicide later." Same with "Lolita" and I ll bet another ten dozen "explicit, racy, sexy" movies like these. Parents should be glad; just let your kids watch a "Bitter Moon" and it'll scare them off sex for life.Just my 2 cents.
