Hi Alan,

A few older films they probably have not have seen (and which you may secretly enjoy viewing again). Many of these may only be on video:

Fantasia
Dr Doolittle
The Star Wars Trilogy
Gulliver's Travels
Jason & the Argonauts
The Time Machine
The War of the Worlds
Journey to the Centre of the Earth
any of Harryhausen's "Sinbad" movies
The Jungle Book (cartoon and/or film)
Mary Poppins
101 Dalmations
The Princess Bride
Robin Hood
The Sea Hawk
Short Circuit
The Last Starfighter

and all those great black & white Hollywood movies you loved when you were a kid - especially anything based on historical characters or famous books. It doesn't matter if the history is not accurate, or the adaption is not precise - hopefully that will just encourage them to read the original.
