***How about this one - White Sun of The Desert? All those wide-plain desert war films are strangely claustrophobic to me. The scene in the oil tank(!) is a masterpiece.
Yes, ...but I would not put it in the 'claustrophobic' catogory. Great movie, no questions about it.
***The one you mentioned is probably the Zhavoronok film from the sixties.
Yep. I recalled the name minutes after finishing the post.
***The worst would be Three Tank Crew and a Dog(loved it when I was a kid).I remember the fact that I watched it, but not more than this.
