Okay, I'll play. "Pulp Fiction" reflects American nostalgic yearnings for long-gone heroism, honor, and folklore. "Titanic" shows that America is filled with the optimism of the fat and rich, or the dead poor, both ignorant of the looming iceberg we're headed toward in the future. And "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" proves that we'll watch anything if it is pretty (and some who shall remain nameless have a "major jones" for Natalie Portman).
