Saw it last night. Kind of a "Wonderful Life" in reverse; instead of a nice guy having bad things happen to him you have a jerk having good things happen to him.
Despite the lack of empathy for the title character it is an amusing, happy movie, trying albeit a bit hamhandedly to underscore the importance of family and community. The idea that doesn't seem to dissipate though is the "for all you low rent schmucks out there" that seems to be tacked onto the movies sentimentality.And oh yes, I am in love with Tea Leoni. She is one GOOD LOOKING woman.
