I must either be overdosing with new movies since the arrival of my DVD player, or I'm becoming a cynical ol' fart in my old age. I thought this movie was a bust. All ready to laugh my arse off and what do I get? Slapstick, pratfalls, and jokes (if you want to call them that) coming a mile away. One funny scene involving an urn of Robert DeNiro's mother's ashes but that was it. Speaking of DeNiro, what's happened to him? I guess half-way decent roles must be hard to come by these days. Anyway, I'd suggest you pass by this turkey and rent "The Long Kiss Goodnight" instead. Not an especially original story but if you like action, this one will give an Aahnold Schwartzenegger flick a run for its money. Samuel L. Jackson gets beat up worse than Bruce Willis in a "Diehard" movie. Geena Davis as the lead character is worth the price of admission by herself. No danger of an Oscar (except for special effects maybe) but very entertaining.
