Anhydrous ammonia = ammonia without water. I've only used this stuff once in my career, to carry out organic syntheses of short segments of DNA. See the link for explosive potential when mixed with air.The more conventional, "concentrated ammonium hydroxide", is a 30% solution of ammonia in water. I broke a gallon container of this in my high school chemistry lab and the school was closed for the day (and I still didn't get voted Prom King, damnit!). Glass cleaners containing ammonia are much less concentrated.
