I did a search here and saw this movie had evoked varying responses from inmates and read a thumbs down review from Leonard Maltin (for what that is worth).Personally I was gobsmacked. At times it is too hyperkinetic as Maltin says but the overall impact was "WOW". I must admit to a (snobbish?) bias against Australian movies as most are pretty ordinary IMO, but hats off to those who made this one. As for Nicole Kidman, she can dance for me anytime she likes :-))
And the soundtrack is something again.
IMO this is a movie to be seen several times to fully appreciate its many nuances. I only hope the hyperkinetic side of it does not wear too thin.
