Hi,
the problem with lists, is that they tell you both too much, and not enough, here's an example. Hepburn was in fine form, in The Lion in Winter, no doubt.
But I would not want to introduce someone to her with that movie. I would pick something more like Bringing Up Baby, or Philadelphia Story, just for example. She's a wonderful actress with many good films; seems a shame to pick that one. And for someone familiar with her work, well, they may well have a different favorite. My favorite(s) is anything she did with Spencer Tracy, but of course I adore her teamed up with Cary Grant,but that would leave out Bogie...
