Re: early Altman flicks available?

"Nashville" and "M*A*S*H" is on DVD, both with the Director's audio commentary option...and that's about it. I believe his verrrry early "The James Dean Story" is also on a cheapy release DVD, too.

Quite sad that "Images", "Quintet", "Brewster McCloud", "California Split", "Three Woman", "Tanner'88" cable Tv series with Michael Murphy, and especially "The Long Goodbye" isn't released on DVD. I Loved seeing Altman's Production of Alan Rudolphs' "The Late Show" and "Welcome To LA" on FLIX recently...another forgotten classic, along with the seldom now seen, "Thieves Like Us".

Another overlooked director, Sam Peckinpah, is also given short shrift in the marketplace. "Major Dundee", "Ballad of Cable Hogue", "Ride The High Country"...and a director's cut of "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia" and "Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid" have yet to see it to DVD.

Maybe some day.
