"Roger Ramjet "Hero of our Nation" & "Man of Adventure"...klunky but extremely lovable. Gary Owens' voice as Roger makes it work !"Barabbas"...Anthony Quinn at his best, one of the best religious pot-boilers ever made. The salt mines scenes most incredible. Jack Palance is evil incarnate!
"Virus"...Alien on a Russian research ship...entertaining with even William Baldwin putting in good acting job. Sutherland is Sutherland.
"After the Fox"...one of the great "Film Director" movies...Sellars is over the top, but Martin Balsam and Victor Mature steal the film...yes, Victor Mature in a comedy turn !
"JFK...2 DVD Special Edition Director's Cut" & "NIXON"...Oliver Stone has this uncanny ability to make films like this work; it's a special talent. Anthony Hopkins as Nixon is an astounding characterization. Stone said in an interview, that I saw on Encore or STARZ, that Hopkins called him up the night before shooting, panicking, and quit on him...he was that afraid of his acting assignment! It's that incredible !
"The Odessa File"...Jon Voight makes it work. Essentially the film stalls at the beginning...until Voight begins his manhunt. Even if you know the ending you will see this film over and over again...again because of Voight.
Looking forward to getting...."The Last Waltz", "Lenny", "Joe Vs. The Volcano", "Going Places" and "Get Out Your Handkerchiefs", "Salvador".
