Eric Bana in Chopper

Just saw "Chopper" recently. I thought Eric Bana was terrific, simultaneously frightening and humorous, seemingly F-- all but insecure. His subtlety and range reminded me of Russell Crowe.
IMDB shows that he's playing Bruce Banner in the upcomming Incredible Hulk movie. I think that will be a great match for his talents. Does anyone know more about this actor?
