HDTV

Yeah, I got an HD box from my cable company just 2 weeks ago for my 51" HDTV. It really is quite stunning.

I watched "Blue Velvet" on HDNet the other day. Knocked my eyes out. Hell, I even watched a doc on the history of figs on Discovery and found it totally engrossing. My wife actually watched part of a hockey game too! All sports are spectacular in HD, especially the fast ones. I'm also surprised at how much better old TV programming looks in HD as well. It really cleans it up.

To me, it's as big and important a change as b&w to color was in the mid-60s. And it's only the beginning. In a couple more years, everything will be like this.
