"Forbidden Planet"-1956, followed closely by "The Thing(From Another
World)-1951, then "Island of Lost Souls"-1933. I have posted
reviews of the first two on this forum: FP review posted in archives
September 20, 1999 and TTFAW review posted October 4,1999; you'll
probably have to access them manually instead of search engine,
hope you find them interesting. They are also at www.imdb posted
by myself as Walt Whizzer, also have a FP nostalgia piece there
too. What is your favorite? (much easier than claiming most influential, don't
