Puting away the viewing of Salo from day to day ...I choose to look at Hugh Grant in this picture, as I like this guy ( not the actor, if one there is..)
As I did quite like " High Fidelity " and Nick Hornby light writing, I hope for the better....and indeed, the first 15 minutes were fun, having the light touch of the English pictures I just adore, like " four Weddings or Bridget diary ... Notting Hill, the Englishman & the hill....Sense & sensibility....I first notice him ( Hugh) long time ago it was in this terrible Ivory film " Maurice ".
Now he has one more facial tic...he can do Meg Ryan ....besides his four or five standard expressions....
After the beginning , it becomes boring and even beautiful Weisz
( oh yeah ) won´t help.
But I don´t regret it...It is sooooooo English.....
