Calling VK...A Slice of "Pi" High in the Sky!

Inadverdently stumbled across "Pi" at videostore, have viewed it
several times. Remember you had asked had I seen it. I like it.
Guess one must "read between the numbers" for interpretations?
There is a brief shot within a beach scene that I really liked, and
consider it one of the two most aesthetically pleasing shots in
the film: Max is sitting (daytime)on a beachshore contemplating,
he is in foreground, to the right of him(viewers left), also in foreground, is
a large rock, a tower(?) is in background and appears to be jutting
up from the rock, then a pretty seagull flys up to the left of Max and
out of frame, I believe. Struck me as symmetrically balanced
composition, with static (Max,rock,tower)and dynamic(bird)elements. Was this your inspiration for your
posting bird? The other pleasing shot was when Max stared out his
door peephole at his pretty neighbor standing in a flowered(?) dress.
They provide some welcome contrast to the often frenetic ugliness.
Read a few imdb member reviews - there are only 368! Plus some
of the many external professional reviews. "PÃ¯" has a high rating
at imdb, 7.5 out of 10. What was it that appealed to you about this
film? - AH
