How many of you have seen "Little Vera"?

Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

I watched it again last night.
What was your impression? The reason for asking is that it is deeply rooted in the recent Soviet life, so I am curious if without intimate knowledge of it someone could appreciate the film?
The difficulty I see would be to put the events into perspective. Not seeing the complete picture that might be hard.
