I don't understand what's all the commotion is about. If it weren't a Sofia Coppola film it wouldn't receive such accolades, I think.
Murray basically did the whole film with one hand tied behind his back. He was the main reason I went to see it, because I love the guy.
Scarlett Johansson[Ghost World, The Man Who Wasn't There] did the best she could, but she couldn't help it once or twice.
I thought it had it's moments, but overall could've easily been shorter by a good 20 minutes.
I wish it could've been better edited, perhaps I'd enjoyed more.It certainly isn't Hollywood schlock, just sophomoric.
But a small wake-up call to the studios, perhaps. It will certainly make the bucks.
