I just loved that Eastwood's line from the White Hunter, Black Heart.Saw it last night on HDTV channel. The movie is a visual treat - first the opulent beauty of English country eastate, then of course the Africa... incredible.
But easily the best part was Clint's character (John Houston) narrate about the faults of Hollywood and its whores.
Looks like the folks at the INHD (HDTV channel) are quite keen on running the films that will make you slaughter your bank account(s) and finally get that darn HD TV.
I have been tolerant of what the normal TV does to video for decades. I do love good image quality and always enjoyed it in the theaters, but at home... I would simply accept it and not even give it much thought.
But now I check the INHD every night. Unfortunately they also like running the pro wrestling... I have to admit stopping for a coupla minutes - as it is eye-catching in HD... but every now and then there is a good film, and then it is something you don't want to miss.
Just in the last few days: the Clockwork Orange and now the Hunter. Not too bad for your American TV channels.
