last night. Enjoyed the beginning of the film before it turned into a soap opera/love quadrangle.
It's frightening to think an entire society can tear at itself so viciously. The film exploits that theme in such a way that it is hard for a freedom-minded person to accept that it was ever that bad. I find merit in the film in that it clearly illustrates (somewhat melodramtically) the plight of Russians in a very dark era.
