Italian Army in Russia war movie?

A long time ago, I saw an Italian B&W movie about the Italian Army on the Russian front in WWII. Trying to remember the name. One memorable scene had an Italian soldier and a Russian soldier racing each other to catch a rabbit on a frozen river between the lines, while their respective comrades cheered them on.
Any ideas?
