Since my wife missed it the first time around, I bought it and we saw it again... together this time. What can I say... one of the best, most poetic, most picturesque and simply beautiful movies in the recent years.
During the day I recall various scenes from it - this is always a high mark of a great movie - very few make me do this.
And Patrick, you old goat, the scenes near the beginning, with the dancing Maroccan prostitutes... those are priceless! The music, the motion... the director has that sense that is so rare.
I go mentally from scene to scene... the crashing heli... the soldiers painting the stones... the movie is so rich in them you feel you can pull them at will and each one will have something to say.
Tremendous... simply tremendous. You would have to kill me to take that DVD away from me.
