This ensemble cast (notably featuring Anthony Lapaglia, Geoffery Rush, and Barbara Hershey) is embroiled in criss-crossed affairs-real or imagined-and finally thrown together by a crime that eliminates one of the group.Well acted (cleaned up at the Austrailian "Oscars") it lacked the slickness of a major-funded production. Lapaglia played a dectective struggling with his numb marriage while Rush played the most "sterile" human being ever to be disguised as a husband. The other Aussie actors were execellent in their portrayl of individual characters. Kerry Armstrong (Lapaglia's wife) was strong in her role as a woman who had always loved her husband but suddenly discovered his infidelity.
If you like ensemble movies, well-played parts, and loose ends tied, this would be worth a view.
