What is this film about? The male form? Latent tendencies? Why was there a conflict between seemingly detached characters? I dunno.What I can say is that it was shot in the most unique point of view I can recall. The cinematography, both beautiful and dramatic, was the film itself. The color, the closeness, the study of the characters were all brought together by the lens and Denis' attention to detail. Certainly style of substance but worth seeing for that very reason.
