"The Asphalt Jungle"

I thought that this would be good to see again, having just seen Kubrick's "The Killing" the other day. This John Huston caper film effort, made a few years before Kubrick's, is darker, has more characters, ans is slower to unfold. Both share Sterling Haden in a leading role, although the mastermind in "...Jungle" is Sam Jaffe and Haden plays a hooligan in the Huston film. Marilyn Monroe has a small but effective part and demonstrates the synergy that she and a camera produced.

Apropos of nothing, the lawyer's living room contains a picture of Wyoming's Devil's Tower, which of course is featured in "Close Encounters..." which we all posted about in the last day or so.
