It is almost a cliche of independent film now- quirky eccentric characters in a quirky eccentric location. Example: last year's The Station Agent. Well this is another. Everyone here is quirky and eccentric and rather charming. It is boy-meets-girl, but there are some laughs and some touching moments. Give me this over Spiderman and the rest of the big summer blockbusters any day of the week.
