An interesting film by Patrice Leconte, who gave us pretty good The Man On the Train, in addition to a few weak ones.In Strangers you would be well advised to ignore most of the silly plot. Basically it is contorted and is the weakest part of the film.
What you should enjoy is the emotions of the actors, and these come across strongly and, if you love to see people and their feelings, will make for an interesting study.
It is bound to produce a small avalance of emotions on your own.
Sandrine Bonnaire as Anna is not bad, but Fabrice Luchini truly shines.
So, while is is hard to ignore some obvious weakesses, as the whole the film makes an enjoyable two hours.
