Aside from a trailer or two on TV when it was released, I've heard very little about this movie. I'd read the novel by M. Crichton on a flight a few years ago so I grabbed it off the rental rack on impulse. I half expected it to be a turkey, but was surprised at how entertaining this typical time travel adventure was. Much more historically accurate than most middle ages flicks and the medieval night battle scene was really good; trebuchets and all. The plot and characters are sketchy; which is too bad...they should have been developed much more, but as a pure adventure movie it was quite enjoyable.
