Anchorman... anyone know the breed of dog?

Just rented this last night. Yeh, i know its stupid but sometimes i just need to shut my brain off for a while.
Anyway, does anyone here know what breed of dog Baxter is? He was so cute and my wife & I are thinking about getting a smaller dog about his size, for our young boys.
I've searched the web but can't find any answer. thanks if anyone knows.
