Writer-director lawrence Kasdan requested that his ensemble actors all be present on the set even when only two or three of them were in a scene. In this way he acieved a sort of group think and act which is of course part of the charm of the film. The movie catapulted many relatively unkown actors into the bigger leagues. Like "American Graffitti" it has aged well and you don't nexcessarily have to be part of its generation to appreciate what is going on. Watchable again and again.
