Children's book author Jeff Bridges drives his wife (Kim Bassinger) into an affair with a teen aged youth he has hired as an apprentice/helper for the summer at their seaside home. Bot Bridges and Bassinger shine in this one, which is based on the first third or so of a Kohn Irving novel. I enjoyed it although you don't go out whistling the tunes at the end.
