Directed by a Japanese MTV creative principle, this film is a comedic sendup of the classic Samurai tale. Filmed in glorius b&w, it employs several Japanese pop music guys of which one plays the heavy and who also writes most of the soundtrack. There are a lot of good yucks wrapped within a fairly legitimate plot: bad samurai, inept samurai, true master and his daughter, dash of romance, and a happy ending. If you lke Japanese film this is worth a shot. Enjoyable.
