Haven't seen this movie since I was a kid, when it first came out. I believe 1965? Rod Steiger: another powerful performance. Some scenes don't hold up as well, but the black and white ambiance of the neighborhood, with the locals and some killer Steiger was still grand. Might inspire me to rent In the Heat of the Night again. "They call me Mr. Tibs."
