I was really disappointed. A shallow, one-dimensional and PC portrayal of the Crusades. No characters, just flat caricatures. The design and the costumes were the best part of the movie. Were those things trebouchets or 105mm howizters? Couldn't someone have told them that things didn't blow up in the 12th Century.
Ridley Scott wasted an opportunity to a put a historic context behind current events. A great set and pretty good cast were wasted. He'd have done better to do a good remake of "Prince Valiant"!
