When I was around 7-8 I used to go to Saturday morning movies where the usual treat was either a Roy Rogers, Durango Kid, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy or Bill Hicock movie followed by 2 serial segments. My two favorite serials were one that had a Gorilla (obviously a guy dressed as one), setting was probably in Africa and the other was some kind of masked superhero. I remember it was set in NY in the 30's or 40's (I remember the cars) and he dressed in some kind black mask tight suite, etc.. (I don't think he used a cape) One vivid finale scene I remember is him hanging from a flagpole in a skycraper.. I have always wondered the title of those serials, specially the last one mentioned.. Maybe they are in DVD's BTW I'm 56.
