Nick Cage has two acting "hits" in row. The rather neglected Lord of War and now this.
Recently, beginning with American Beauty, we've seen a group of films about non-heroes oozing angst and ennui. Broken Flowers, Lost in Translation, that Coen bros. Billy Bob Thornton b/w flick, Lord of War.
I like most of these films but I don't know if the genre has legs. At any rate, it's a decent way to spend a few hours but expect to be hit over the head with metaphors.
