Hey Rico!May have possibly erred in saying that the spider used in "The
Black Scorpion"-1958 was one used by O'Brien from "King Kong"-1933.
Actually, may be partially correct. Hamish, at message boards
at KongisKing.net stated that he'd seen the stills and compared them
to the TBS spider and saw a general bodyshape similarity, but stills
weren't clear enuff to render a fairly definite judgement on more
refined aspects of the spiders. Hamish said that it's likely that
the TBS spider may have been an armature, minus coverings, retrieved
from KK, because (1)armatures are most expensive parts and (2)coverings-hair etc. disintegrate more quickly over time. (BTW, supposedly Jackson created a new spider sequence for the remake.)Best Regards,
~AH
