First the title of this one is attractive.
Is the film too?
I saw it as a mixed bag.
It has good period, nice actors.
Want to break some taboos that most of us don´t have anymore, do not forget, Brazil=Catholic.
In fact a very conventional film, save for its immoral, and that is the turning point.
Not wanting to make a movie like many others, won´t make you a genius.
No it won´t.
And the threshold of the immorality here is also its weak point, because it is amoral and violent and egoistical.
The end is quite well made.
