Can anybody explain the plot in 25 words or less? With the flashbacks and endless parade of characters I gave up after the first ten minutes and sat there for the ride. I found the first episode equally puzzling. I guess the only reason I went is my deep appreciation for Beckinsale's facial architecture--less the dental appliance.
