This has probably been covered a million times before, but since I rarely post here, I'll give it a try anyway. What is your favorite sports film of all time? Though the ending redefines the word "depressing," mine is "Million Dollar Baby." Personally, I think it may be Clint Eastwood's crowning achievement, in a career chocked full of career peaks. I used to know a girl who was a very good female boxer, and I think the film portrays the violence of that sport quite unflichingly--while somehow portraying the humanity of everyone involved, particularly Hilary Swank's character. The performances are all absolutely mesmerizing, and if you're receptive, the ending will touch you to the very core of your soul, like it did to me. What are your choices?
