What a cast: Robert Redford (who also directed), Kristin Scott Thomas, Sam Neil, Chris Cooper, Diane Weist, and of course Scarlett Johanssen. Scarlett and her horse are injured both physically and mentally and Redford heals each of them over time. Beautifully photographed and well acted. Very movinf at times. Recommended. The ending is different from the book.
