Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Just finished watching this film again. It's been quite a few months since the last time that I saw it, and I forgot how beautiful this movie is. There are only a select few "artsy" movies that I enjoy, but this is one of them. Everything about this movie attracts me: the dialogue, the camera work, the lighting, the music. There is also a certain intimacy to the writing, allowing the viewer to feel, in a way, more involved with the story. It's as if it was taken from a play, or written by a playwrite (could have been, I'm not sure. Kaufman: playwrite?).
Highly recommended. Jim Carrey does a very good job playing his role. This is not what I would call a comedy (although there are some playfully humorous parts), yet I believe that the role of Joel Barish was perfectly cast with Carrey.
