Saw it last night at home. Not as good as I thought it was going to be. I liked the quiet direction, but not a whole lot seemed to be happening. We had all these interesting side characters that didn't seem to do much, either. Ray Wise's character was introduced, given a bit of antagonism, then left without much fanfare. If you aren't going to have your ancillary characters do much, why have them do anything at all?
Strathairn turned in a good performance, and was very belivable as Murrow. Clooney was acceptable as his sidekick.
I read that this was supposed to be a made for TV movie filmed live, ala the recent Failsafe remake. I think that would have been a better place for it than the big screen.
