Thanks whoever pointed out The Perfect Spy

I started a thread a while ago about Smiley's People and Tinker,Tailor,Soldier,Spy. Someone reccomended The Perfect Spy as well and i just finished watching it.It was a winner, for me .Magnus Pym,I find myself saying his name to my self, Pym....A real tourtured soul Sir Magnus was huh?Sure the story has some flaws but isn't that reflective of humanity?I did at times find it difficult to reconcile how a character with such a brilliant mind could not see from a distance,in time and space, that his choices would lead where they did and find the ways of avoiding them.I liked him right up to the point where i realized what he was ultimately going to do, then, just pity.A fine story all the same for anyone needing a story in which to become involved over a few episodes. The characters evoked compelling emotional connections on a number of interesting levels.A Perfect Spy is a character driven story, not mainly concerned with any particular episodes of espionage or the tricks and tools of the trade but develops the characters involved with The Perfect Spy and how each contributed, while carrying out their respective roles in their own lives to a Magnum Opus of tragic failure for poor, gentle Magnus Pym.Are there any more John Le Carre miniseries or movies based on his novels? Pretty decent, involving stuff.
