A Scanner Darkly: recommended

I'm in a lot of agreement with Clark Johnsen's review of this (check it out on his 7/10 post). I certainly think that anyone with any memory of early-70's drug culture will undergo some feedback-loop induced tickling sensations :-)

I would like to add that there's quite a bit of humor in this work, very well put across by the cast.

And anyone interested in film should enjoy the use of the multiple-angle shots (plot-generated, but also quite significant as a reinforcement of the brain-fracture theme).

Also, this is about the only PK Dick work I've seen presented close to exactly as he wrote it (though I agree with Clark's comment about the raw power of the book being superior).

Go see it, folks. It's different.
