I took quite a bit of beating for sticking this one in the queue in the midst of all the Seinfeld episodes, and then I had to contend with some angry sighs and nasty remarks for the duration of the film... women!But on second look I have to largely agree with the lady - Pasolini is like a guy with good voice who never learned any songs. Best he can do is hum some children tunes...
Some breathtaking cinematography in this one, but overal the rusult is mediocre, even if memorable.
Girotti is great, though... too bad about his career...
A bit of trivia - did you know Anne Wiazemsky, who played the daughter, is the granddaughter of François Mauriac and was once married to Jean-Luc Godard?
I only remember her in Balthazar.
