tin, you shouldn't have reminded me of Forbidden Games... I would have conducted my usual calm undisturbed existance watching Seinfeld and a few latest Russian flicks. It's been long, long time since I saw it, but the memories were still amazingly vivid. It had been sitting on my shelf since its arrival in October, and last night I finally summonned enough strengh to put it on.
The first notes of that haunting tune brought back the rich emotions, and watching it was like going over some high school pranks with an old buddy.
Perhaps two decades and hundreds movies later, that one still remains to me one of the best films ever made anywhere.
Wonderful interviews on the Criterion disc too.
