MarcIn my HT, I have a ceiling mounted projector. The rest of the gear is at the front of the room below screen level. This requires that the direct component video cable runs(3) from the dvd player to the projector are 45 feet long. I accomplished this simply with good quality inexpensive RG-6 coaxial cables. The picture is incredible and seems to suffer no ill effects at all. Even with a composite run of this length (routed through my pre-pro so I can use the pre-pro's OSD), the picture still looks very good. I don't think you will have a problem with this. Just go to home depot and buy their RG-6 cable. It is inexpensive and is 75ohm. Get whatever terminators you need from Radio Shack(eg, gold plated RCA, F-type, BNC, or any adapters). Use a good crimping tool. As I said in a previous post here, I saw no difference with expensive videophile cables.
This would be very inexpensive, so why not just try it out. If you don't like the result, you spent hardly anything. Much less expensive than your other alternative: separate players at both ends of the room. BTW, with the set-up you describe, what speaker wire do you use to go from your equipment rack at the back of the room, to the left and right front speakers at the front of the room on each side of the TV? Just curious...I'd be more concerned about such a long speaker wire run($$), than I would about the RG-6.Larry
