The marantz dvd players are all right. I had the 930 which played most discs. I basically didn't like the cheesiness of the 930 so I sold it and bought a Pioneer Elite DV-09. This machine is the best out there IMHO. Several publications have touted it at being the best dvd player out there, including ones costing 3 times more. Check out the specs at www.pioneer.com.
