Ok, checked the archives and both of these are much liked. The AT is
a best less expensive than the Recon ($160 vs. $235, more or less).
On the other hand, I followed with considerable interest Dan
Brudhomme's trevails with getting the right impedance levels.
This seems to be a not uncommon difficulty. This makes me
somewhat concerned, as I'll be running through the phono preamp
of a Linn Intek integrated amp (switchable for MM or MC, but
without adjustability of finer preamps).I want a cartridge that I'll like now, not when I've the funds to
upgrade my phonostage. What's it going to go on? OL-RB250, mounted on a Systemdek IIX,
with DIY power supply (via "LP is back" design). Speakers are
JSE Infinite Slope 1.8 (floorstanding, full range speakers that
use the same crossover design as Joseph Audios).Your thoughts are eagerly anticipated.
